At the Alfred Research Alliance, we provide outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate opportunities across biomedical discovery, translational development and clinical research.
Student programs are complemented by our close partnership with The Alfred and a flexible, collaborative network across the alliance. Students learn how to work nimbly across research fields with a common goal of delivering improved patient outcomes.
We offer undergraduate courses including immunology, pathology, medicine, public health, health sciences, biomedical science, nursing and allied health through our member universities, Monash University, Deakin University and La Trobe University.
Honours, postgraduate degrees and graduate diplomas can be completed either at the host university or affiliate Alliance organisations like The Alfred, Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute or the Burnet Institute.
The Alfred is also an ideal place to study nursing or allied health disciplines. Home to one of Australia’s busiest emergency and trauma centres, the state’s largest intensive care unit, Victoria’s only heart and lung transplant service, the Victorian Adults Burn Service, the Victorian Melanoma Service and more.
Short courses are an ideal complement to primary qualifications as an alternative to full-time study or for professional development.
A wide range of scholarships, postgraduate top-ups and awards are available to students studying at the Alliance, most of which are through the member university. Students may also apply for Alfred Research Alliance Honours Scholarships, which are awarded annually based on academic achievement. Find out more by visiting Honours Programs.
