Investigator Portal

In addition to the Animal Ethics and Welfare portal, the Alfred Research Alliance utilises a number of software programs to support the care and use of animals for scientific purposes at the site.

Software programs that the Alfred Research Alliance utilises to support the care and use of animals include:

  • EthicsAppOrder - The database used to manage the animal services at the site (i.e. ordering animals, requesting training in a technique or procedure etc.)
  • SoftMouse - The colony-management and experimental record database
  • Conduit - The database used for the submission, AEC review and management of research protocols

To access any of the programs listed above (as well as the ARA investigator portal), you must be a member of an organisation of the Alfred Research Alliance and have been inducted onto the site.

If you do not have a log-in, are unsure of your log-in details or have not completed the induction, then contact the Animal Ethics Office for assistance.

You will not be granted access to any of these databases, portal or the animal facility, until all the steps of induction are completed.
