The Australian Centre for Blood Diseases (ACBD) is a recognised leader in blood disease research and education. Our experts are setting new standards in diagnosing and treating blood conditions and benefit from working in a state-of-the-art facility.

Cardiovascular Disease

Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute is an international leader in cardiovascular research.

Diabetes & Obesity

At Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute researchers focus on gaining an understanding of which people are most at risk of the complications of diabetes and discovering ways to mitigate the effects of the disease.

Epidemiology & Public Health

Alfred Research Alliance - where we think in innovative ways, and work together to translate our research into new and improved diagnoses, treatments and disease prevention strategies.

Infection & Immunity

The Burnet Institute is a major centre for research in Infection and Immunity.

Mental Health & Neuroscience

The Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre (MAPrc) at Alliance works on the clinical translation of neuroscience into innovative treatments for people with severe mental illness.

Trauma, Critical Care + Perioperative Medicine

Alfred Health experts in intensive care, anaesthesia, trauma surgery, emergency medicine and rehabilitation lead and participate in large-scale national and international, multi-centre clinical trials.
